Our story
Last updated August 6, 2026
Every hotel has a version of the same story. It is 11pm, the lobby is quiet, and a guest walks up to the desk already angry: the flight was late, the room is not ready, and tomorrow morning matters to them in a way the person behind the desk cannot yet see. The next four minutes decide whether this becomes a loyal guest or a one-star review.
And the person handling those four minutes has usually never practised them. Front-desk teams turn over fast, training is a binder and a shadowing shift, and the hard conversations arrive on their own schedule, always live, never twice the same. Every other high-stakes profession rehearses. Pilots have simulators. Surgeons have labs. Hospitality has “you'll pick it up”.
Lobbyee started with that gap. We built a guest who argues back: an AI with a real mood, a surface complaint, and a hidden need underneath that only genuine handling uncovers. Then we built the coaching layer on top, so every practice conversation ends with scores a trainee can act on and quotes from their own words as evidence. Some scenarios cannot be won at all, because some real conversations cannot be, and learning to lose one gracefully is part of the craft.
We are a small founding team, and we build with the people who use it: the scenario library grew out of real front-desk situations, the grading was calibrated against human judgment case by case, and the first version of every feature gets tested by people who have actually stood behind a desk at midnight. If something in the product feels wrong to someone who does this job, we treat that as a bug.
We are onboarding our first hotels now, as founding partners. If the story above sounds like your lobby, we would like to build the next part with you.
